[Greetings]

My theme for this month is Growth.  As we enter into spring, and see all the new growth of foliage, we are also seeing it here at Unity Church of Peace, but we are not seeing it in the weekly donations.  We have not reached our income goal of $2,300 a week, except for a few times, and it seems that the gap is getting wider instead of closing.  I am trying to keep a positive spin on the finances, but in order to be a good steward of the church I have to tell it like it is.

After 4 years of struggling with the IRS , and receiving threats of a lien on our property for back taxes, they found the error and actually refunded $1,100 to us.  Not only did we receive the check, but we are also relieved of those  constant threats.  The $1,100 will go into our money market account. We hope to maintain a safety net.

Unfortunately, we are seeing an increase in the insurance premiums, advertisement costs, and utilities.  I am confident that we will meet all of our needs now and in the future with an        increase of weekly tithes and donations.

 We are continually blessed to have such a loving congregation, and I am so honored to be a part of our church, and to serve in anyway that I can.
